Isabel Duarte de Almeida is a teacher and sustainable development research coordinator with 25 years of experience in higher education. She teaches at Lusiada University and ISCTE-IUL, Portugal, engaging in academic activities at esteemed institutions such as the University of Cambridge, University of Palermo, and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. Dr. Almeida holds a Biology degree from the University of Lisbon, postgraduate degrees in Sociology and Circular Economy, as well as dual PhDs in Biology and Sociology/Sustainability Management. With 12 years of research experience at the Gulbenkian Institute of Science, Isabel has published in reputable scientific journals, is a conference reviewer, and contributes to leading academic publications on sustainable development, circular economy, and corporate sustainability. The research activity is also located at the CLISSIS Research Center.

Agostinho da Silva is an associate professor at Instituto Politécnico de Leiria and ISG-Business and Economics School. He has been the co-founder and managing director of CEI-Zipor Engineering Group (www.ceigroup.net) since 1995. Among other sectors, CEI-Zipor develops and manufactures advanced industrial technologies for mineral resources, aeronautics, footwear, and automotive. The company exports products to Germany, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Belgium, Canada, USA, UAE, New Zealand, Portugal, Netherlands, and Qatar. Evora University awarded him a PhD in Management (Industry 4.0 Improving); ISCTE awarded him Advanced Studies in Operations Management and Logistics (Supply Chain 4.0); FEUP awarded him Advanced Studies in Industrial Management (Industry 4.0). In addition to the MSc in Naval Engineering, he has an advanced degree in Strategic Management and International Investment.
